Katieisms
Here are some of Katie's new ones (in between eating her favorite snack of goldfish):
- Ian was crying. Katie told him "Ian, I can't take it anymore."
- Daddy gave Katie $1 for her purse. She responded with "Thanks. I need $2, not $1." She is our tough businesswoman!
- I had Katie and Ian with me at a store. When we were leaving the store, we heard the train pull into town. Katie asked if we could go see it and I said that I didn't think we would make it in time. Katie responded with "Mommy, you need to try. Be positive."
- We kept trying to buy a new backpack for school this year. Everytime I asked what kind she wanted Katie would say "pink with Hello Kitty." This is her bag from last year. She is a cheap back-to-school shopper!
- Katie came home from her first day at school this year. The babysitter asked how school was and Katie responded that school was exhausting.
- Katie: "Mommy, I woke up in a bad morning."
- Daddy had left for work and Mommy was getting ready. Katie told me that "someone is missing from our team" and wondered where Daddy was that morning.
Red Wagon
Nanny & Pop-pop brought us the red wagon that Pop used to have to move his tools in the assisted living facility. Katie and Ian love it and are enjoying their new treasure.
Monkey
Ian's nickname is "Ian Monkey." He is always under, on top of, climbing on or sitting in anything that he can find. He is going to be a handful!
Ian's Baptism and 1st Birthday Party
In between all the chaos of moving, we had Ian's Baptism and his birthday party celebration. He cried during the Baptism but seemed to enjoy his 1st first birthday party. Thank you to everyone for joining us for the celebration!
We have a disc with many more pictures of the party...once we find it, we will definitely post them! Unfortunately, these are the only pictures we have on our phones. Somehow the one of Daddy in the ribbons was one of the first ones that we found!
