Dinner with the Girls

We had dinner with Kiley & Josh and Sue, Al & Bianca on Saturday night. Katie had a blast, especially since she had a lot of attention and loved watching / playing with Bianca. She also tried a lemon (Daddy's idea) and kept wanting to eat it even though she made funny faces with it each time!

Mess

I decided to let Katie try using a spoon tonight for her dinner. She is doing very well with the finger foods so her next step is the spoon. She did pretty well getting it into her mouth when I put the food on it. If I left her to try getting the food and feeding herself, she would put the spoon in her mouth and then grab the food in the bowl with her hand and try to put it in her mouth with the spoon! I guess we have a little while before we are ready for this step.

Model in the Making

Katie apparently loves the camera. When I pulled the camera out to take pictures of her on the stairs, she turned around and started making faces into the camera and screeching. These are some of her "model" shots.

Stairs

Katie loves trying to climb up the stairs now. We let her try her skills on the first two steps and she is doing pretty well (especially if Camilla passes her and goes up the stairs - she always wants to be with Camilla).

10 Months

Katie celebrated her 10 month birthday last weekend. She is growing up before our eyes. She loves her new "independence" with cruising and is always on the move now. She loves eating - especially when she can feed herself. She talks to us a lot now (we love it when she "talks" to us during car rides - the whole ride)! She loves to say "da da" but does not know who it should be directed at yet. She loves playing with her toys and pulling all of her favorites out of her toy box. She also loves pulling all our books off the bookshelf. Hopefully that means she will love reading when she gets older!

Katie's 1st Brunch

We met the Winers for a brunch today to celebrate the soon-to-be arrival of their baby (due next Sunday). We met at a fancy restaurant (Rod's Steakhouse) and Katie did great! She loved the food and all the activity.

Happy Baby

Katie is a happy baby. She seems to wake-up smiling these days and has a smile for you whenever you walk in the room. She is just a great baby!
