Katie is now pushing to stand! We can't believe it. When you try to sit her down, she locks her knees and tries to stand up instead. She will start to fuss and cry if you do not let her stand. She is going to be on the move soon!

Standing
Katie is now pushing to stand! We can't believe it. When you try to sit her down, she locks her knees and tries to stand up instead. She will start to fuss and cry if you do not let her stand. She is going to be on the move soon!
Tummy Time
Katie is still not a huge fan of tummy time, but we tolerate it much more when we add a pillow under her. Tummy time has become a family event now, since Camilla also wants to be a part of it. As soon as Katie's tummy time mat comes out, Camilla pulls out 2 or more toys and starts playing next to her! Katie then watches her play. The interesting thing about it is that they both play the same way (grab toy, insert into mouth, chew)!
Rolling Over (Almost)!
Katie is almost rolling over. She just needs to figure out how to get the shoulders around with her and she will be moving! This is how I found her during nap time last week.

Our Little Actress
Katie was not interested in her morning nap today. I heard her moving around in the crib while I was getting dressed and heard lots of pathetic wimpering noises. When I walked into her room, I found that she had moved herself right below the camera for the monitor and was putting on quite a show for me to come pick her up. We apparently have a smart little baby on our hands.
Birthday Party
Katie attended her first birthday party yesterday. The party was for the son of John's client who turned one. Katie was fascinated by Cookie Monster and Elmo (she is watching them intently while she is drinking her bottle). She also got to try an infant swing, which she really enjoyed!
