Cookie Thief

Mommy spent the day making Christmas cookies. Katie learned quickly where Mommy was keeping the cookie tins in the pantry. I was washing dishes when I turned around and saw Katie take a cookie from a tin and run into the living room (the spritz cookies - must be her favorite). We have a little cookie thief on our hands!

Laundry Basket Fun

Katie loves to have Daddy carry her around the house in the laundry basket. When Daddy was trying to get clothes out of the dryer today, she decided to climb into the laundry basket to get carried with the load!

Shopping in the Pantry

Katie's new favorite activity is to take a shopping bag and go around the house putting things into the bag. Yesterday we caught her in the pantry trying to put some food into her shopping bag.

Christmas Tree Decorating

We decorated the Christmas tree last weekend. Katie enjoyed playing with the lights and looking at the ornaments. Now that the tree is put together, she also enjoys taking down all the ornaments when we are not looking!

Hospital

Katie got the flu the week of December 5th, which gave her a high fever suddenly and put her into a "fever seizure." The medicine given to her by the ambulance to stop the seizure then put her into respiratory failure. We had quite a scare for a few days in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Morristown Hospital but amazingly Katie is completely fine now. Mommy and Daddy will take a lot longer to recover but at least Katie is doing great and seems to have no side effects from her traumatic experience. Here are a few pictures of Katie from the hospital after she was moved from the PICU to the regular Pediatric floor. The last picture is when we finally got to leave the hospital but they made us wear masks as we left to avoid spreading the flu. Katie's was a little too big!

First Haircut

Mommy took Katie for her first haircut today. We just had the bangs cut (Mommy does not want to lose any of the curls yet). Katie was pretty skeptical of the experience but did sit well for the hairdresser. She is such a big girl now!

Helping Hands

Katie likes to help Mommy with chores (as best as she can). Yesterday she started pulling dishes out of the dishwasher when I was unloading it and started "drying" them for Mommy.
