Happy Baby

Katie is a happy baby. She seems to wake-up smiling these days and has a smile for you whenever you walk in the room. She is just a great baby!

Kitchen Cabinets

Katie loves exploring these days and found the cabinet with the Tupperware this weekend. We gave her a wooden spoon and tried to teach her how to "bang" on the containers. As you can see, we did not get very far.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Katie spent her first Valentine's weekend with Grandma and Pop-pop who baby-sat while Mommy and Daddy went skiing/snowboarding. Katie had a great time with them (and apparently wanted to continue the fun well into the night)! Mommy and Daddy came home on Valentine's Day and gave Katie her gifts (along with a fun bow to wear on her head). Daddy took a picture of his "Valentines" (we tried to include Camilla but she was not interested)!

Snow Day

Daddy and Mommy got a half day off from work on Wednesday for the big snow storm. We enjoyed spending the afternoon with Katie. She did not go out in the snow but did enjoy watching it out the window.

Super Bowl Sunday

Daddy treated himself to some wings on Super Bowl Sunday. Katie decided that her "game" on Super Bowl Sunday was to get the wings from Daddy. We now have two girls in line to take our food in the house. Eating has become a lot more interesting!

Little Reader

Katelyn loves her books and pulls all of the books out her basket when she gets a chance. She even turns the pages and looks at them sometimes!

Little Miss Personality

Katie is really starting to show her personality these days. She does like to be independent when she can. She loves attention, and if you are not giving it to her, she will screech loudly until you look at her and then she will smile.

Some of the interesting things that she has done lately:

- I was standing at the back door calling Camilla to come into the house. Katie started screaming loudly with me and looking for Camilla! When Camilla finally came to the back door, she laughed!
- Katie loves to hold onto the coffee table and "cruise" around it. She tried to bite the table the other night. I told her "no" and she then screamed at me and turned away from me. Apparently the temper tantrums are not too far away...
- I pulled out the vacuum today while she was eating dinner to clean up a mess. I turned on the vacuum and she started "crying." As soon as I turned it off, she smiled at me and laughed. I turned it back on and she did the fake crying again. This continued a few more times. She definitely made her point...
