On a Walk

Walk

It was gorgeous out today so Katie & Mommy went for a walk. We went to the track and here are some photos from our walk. (You will see the bruise on her cheek from this morning. She went running through the house today and ran into the toy box. Unfortunately, Mommy can't run as fast as her now so I was about 2 seconds behind her.)

Potty

Yesterday Katie pointed to the bathroom and said "potty." I decided to try it and let her sit on it. She asked for a book and sat for about 5 minutes before she actually went potty. Once she went potty, she said "poop" and pointed into the potty. I couldn't believe she actually went on the potty! We were so proud of her. I guess we may be potty training sooner than we thought.

Katie & Camilla in Bed

I don't think we can explain how much Katie adores Camilla. She loves to try to hang out with her "doggy" whenever she can and even leaves toys and books in Camilla's bed for her. She gives her hugs (usually before she will give Daddy & Mommy hugs), she calls for her whenever she is not in the same room, and even tries to lay with her in bed. We are fortunate that Camilla is usually very good with her, and when she has had enough, will just leave the room.

Haircut

Katie got her 2nd haircut on Sunday. She hated it and cried the whole time but at least she listened to the hairdresser about what to do. Here is a picture in the car after the haircut (when she had her pacifier and finally calmed down).

Big Sister

Grandpa sent Katie a "big sister" shirt. We let her try the new title this weekend. Here are some cute pictures of her in the shirt.

Flying

We visited the Bryants last weekend and Uncle Charlie got some great pictures of Katie "flying" with Daddy.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

We were at Grandma and Pop-pop's last weekend. Grandma pulled out a box of chocolate covered strawberries. Katie saw her place them on the table, climbed into the chair closest to the strawberries and was about to grab a few before Daddy stopped her. She loves her sweets!

Baby Boy

It is official...baby boy Finlay will be arriving around July 5th. We are very excited to meet him! We had an ultrasound a few weeks ago and found out that it was a boy. He spent most of the time during the ultrasound sucking his thumb or trying to get his whole hand in his mouth. It was amazing to watch!

Children's Museum (Again)

We took Daddy to the Children's Museum this weekend. Katie loved running around again and having Daddy and Mommy to entertain wherever she went!

Miss Manners

Katie is talking a lot more now and seems to be a polite little girl! She says "peas" when she wants something, "tanks" when she gets it and even says "bess you" when you sneeze! We are very proud of her manners so far!
