12 Month Appointment

Katie had her 12-month appointment today. Katie is 30 1/2 inches long (90th %) and 22 lbs. 14 oz. (75th %). The doctor said that she is developing well. She had three shots today in the arm, but she only cried for a minute or two. She did very well at the doctor's office.

Visits with Nanny & Pop

Our Little Entertainer

We went to South Jersey this weekend and had dinner at the Bryant's house on Saturday night. Grandma, Pop-pop and Uncle Bruce joined us for dinner. Katie loved entertaining the crowd at dinner. She would clap her hands and wait for the table to clap their hands. After she perfected the clapping, she then moved onto waving her hands in the air (and then waiting for everyone to do it) and clapping on the table. She was very entertaining! It is amazing how much she loves the attention.

Happy 1st Birthday!

Katie turned 1 today! It is hard to believe that one year has already passed. It has been such a wonderful experience watching Katie grow up over the past year and learn so many different things. We are looking forward to year number 2!

Mommy spent the day with Katie to celebrate. We went for professional pictures in the morning (Katie did well!), went to lunch at Panera Bread, shopped and went to the park to use the swings. We had one of Katie favorites meals for dinner (pork, homemade macaroni and cheese, and green beans). We finished the meal with Mommy singing Happy Birthday and lighting a candle (and having a little cake). We opened presents and then Daddy came home to spend some time with Katie. We think Katie had a great day!

Katie's 1st Birthday & Baptism Party

Since everyone was in town for the Baptism, we decided to celebrate her 1st Birthday. We had a great party. Katie was exhausted afterward but did a great job entertaining the crowd. She loved her first taste of birthday cake. She even went after Mommy's piece of cake after she finished her plate! We are very blessed to have so many people who love our little one!

Baptism

Katie had her baptism at Grace Church on Sunday. She was wonderful throughout the whole ceremony. She did not even cry during the baptism. However, she was not a happy camper after the service was over, so we only had a few pictures before we had to take her out of the church. Here is one picture of Daddy, Mommy & Katie and another with Aunt Lisa who was the Godmother. Unfortunately, Katie did not want to cooperate with most of the pictures.

Hanging Out with Aunt Lisa

Aunt Lisa came into town on Friday for Katie's baptism and birthday party. Katie loved spending time with Aunt Lisa. Unfortunately, Uncle Scott was not able to join the fun this weekend but he was still a part of the baptism in spirit.

Katie the Bookworm

Katie still loves books. Recently she has started crawling over to the bookshelf before bath time and trying to bring Mommy and Daddy's books into the bathroom with her for the bath!

Silly Daddy

Katie received Easter Bunny ears from Grandma. She would not let us put them on her, so Daddy decided to make her laugh by wearing them around. She loves watching Daddy be silly.

Easter Dinner

It was gorgeous outside for Easter. The temperature was almost 80 degrees, so we decided to enjoy our Easter dinner on the deck for the first time this year. Katie loved being outside and loved the ham.

Egg Hunt

We put together a little Easter egg hunt on our deck for Katie. We put out three plastic eggs with Cheerios inside. She crawled to each egg, ate the Cheerios (and shared some with Camilla), and then moved onto the next egg. It was so much fun to watch!

Mommy & Katie

Katie loves to play with Mommy's necklaces. She also loves to give Mommy "kisses" (which sometimes turn into bites). We are working on the biting thing, but I do love getting the kisses whenever Katie feels like giving them.
