Mashed Potatoes

Katie gave herself a mashed potatoes mustache today at dinner. She also smeared the mashed potatoes into her hair and in her eyebrows. After she put them on herself, she then started making "art" in them on her tray by running her fingers through them. She seems to find many uses for the mashed potatoes! (The picture is from Daddy's Blackberry, so it is a little fuzzy.)

Climbing

Katie loves to climb on things now. In order to get into her toy box, she will climb on other toys. She can climb up the whole set of stairs now but does not know how to get down. We will have to work on getting down next.

Front Door

Katie and Camilla both love to stare out the front door and watch everything go by (cars - Katie's favorite, people, animals - Camilla's favorite). We decided to take some pictures of what it looks like to pass our house...

Easter Bunny

We took Katie to the mall yesterday and went to see if the Easter Bunny was available. Unfortunately, we must have been too early for him. Instead, we let Katie look at the display for the Easter Bunny.

Toys

Katie loves her toys now. She is always crawling or cruising to her toy box and pulling out everything!

Nice Weekend

We had great weather this weekend, so we tried to take Katie outside as much as possible. We tried out the "car" that Sue let us borrow. Katie enjoys going for a ride to the high school fields. I let her cruise around the track and yell at the runners/walkers on the track!

Blackberry

Katie has an obsession with Blackberries and iPhones. She tries to grab them from Mommy and Daddy and see what will happen if she presses some buttons. We are practicing our "no" response for when she wants an iPhone at 2 years old! (And yes, those are Christmas pajamas that Katie is wearing in March. If the pajamas fit, they are still a clothing option!)

Swings

We still love the swing. We took Katie and Camilla for a walk on Sunday and let Katie go on the swings at the park. She laughed and screeched during the swinging. She also loved watching the baby next to us swing. We got some cute pictures of our trip.

Helping Camilla

Katie loves Camilla. On Sunday morning, Katie was walking around the dining room when Camilla decided she wanted to come inside. Katie went to the door and tried to let her in! She didn't get too far but it was adorable to watch.

First Steps

Katie took her 1st steps last week. She can let go of the table and stand for a few seconds. If she is feeling really brave, she will take one or two steps forward before falling. We will try to get pictures or a video of it to post soon!

Enjoying the Nice Day

We had a gorgeous weekend finally. We let Katie walk around the deck and enjoy the fresh air on Saturday. She loved being outside and watching Camilla run around the yard.
