Sweet Potatoes - Part II

Katie found a way to make even more of a mess with the sweet potatoes on the second day. She had them in her hair, ears, nose and everywhere else around her. At least we know she enjoys them!

Pool Time

We got to enjoy some pool time in South Jersey. Katie tried a kiddie pool for the first time. She did not seem to be too impressed with it, but did enjoy kicking the water.

South Jersey

We visited South Jersey this weekend. Katie was able to visit with Nanny & Pop and Uncle Bruce.

Katie at Play

Katie loves playing on the floor now and rolling around. She also still loves to be held up so she can stand. She usually squeals in delight when you let her stand. Here are some cute pictures of her playing.

Sweet Potatoes

Katie tried sweet potatoes on Saturday. She loved the new food! We loved the orange mustache!

Sleeping

Katie is now sleeping on the tummy all the time. She also seems to enjoy sleeping with her bottom up and knees tucked underneath. It is just too cute.

Teething

After almost a month of teething, Katie finally has a tooth appearing. It has just started to peek through her bottom gums. Once it finally arrives, we will definitely post a picture of her new smile!

New Nap Time Position?

Now that we are on the move, Katie has decided to change her nap time position. Even though I lay her down on her back in the middle of the crib, I still find her like this. Amazing.

Taking Control

Katie loves her rice and oatmeal cereals (we just started oatmeal yesterday). She gets mad that Mommy does not feed her fast enough, so she now grabs the spoon out of Mommy's hand and feeds herself. Her coordination is just amazing for her age!

Always Moving

Gone are the days when Katie stays where we put her! She is always moving herself around. She always seems to get herself on her belly and then does not know what to do next. I am sure she will be moving those legs soon!

Here is Mommy's attempt today to showcase her skills. While she is still camera shy about talking (she starts cooing as soon as I turn off the camera), she does show off her perfected roll!

4 Month Check-up

We had the 4-month check-up today. Katie is doing great and is meeting all her development milestones. She is now weighing in at 16 lbs. 4 oz. and is 26 in. long! She is still in the 95th percentile. She had a much better reaction today to the vaccinations. Hopefully it continues through tomorrow!

Standing

Katie loves to stand now! She will fight you when you try to put her in a sitting position. She gets incredibly proud of herself for standing and loves the new views.

Daddy & Katie

Mommy left Daddy & Katie on their own for most of Saturday. It went well (most of the time)! Katie enjoyed having the time with her Daddy.

New Bath Time Routine?

So here is how Katie decided to enjoy bath time tonight. I laid her on the floor (on her towel) while I ran the bath water. She decided that she did not want to lay there and rolled herself over.


I then undressed her and, as I was pulling off her socks, she rolled herself over again.


We got our bath (including her little Alfalfa spike)!

To end the bath, Katie decided to fight me as I was putting on her diaper to roll over once again! She is really enjoying the new skill that she has!

4 Months

In celebration of Katie's 4 month birthday, I tried taking a video of her today in one of her toys. It is not the most exciting video, since she did not want to talk for me, but you can at least see her play! Mommy will continue working on her cinematography skills in the meantime!

Eating!

We gave Katie a little rice cereal this morning. She was concerned about what it was at first, but then started holding the spoon to push it into her mouth! She did a great job eating, even if she did spit half of it out. (Mommy forgot the bib, but will definitely remember it next time!) I was concerned that she may not be ready for food, but she seemed to tell me otherwise!

Visit with Hollie & Scott

Stationary Entertainer

Katie has a stationary entertainer that she is starting to love. She gets very serious when she is in it and tries to figure everything out (including the part that makes animal noises). She gets very excited when she pushes the button and the noises happen!

It's Official...We Are Now Rolling Over

Today was a big day! Katie finally got those shoulders all the way around and rolled over! I had put her on the floor (on her back) to give my arms a rest for a minute and then I watched her roll herself over. She was a little upset to find herself in her tummy time position, but we are quite proud of her!

Mr. Cow

There is a stuffed cow on Katie's car seat that just brings a smile to her face every time she sees it. She laughs at the cow and talks to him. It is just too cute!

Visit with Grandma & Pop-Pop

Grandma and Pop-Pop came to visit Katie (and the rest of us) on Sunday. Katie enjoyed the attention!
